The City of Lamoni would like to congratulate newly certified Police Officer – Anthony Cray. A Lamoni native and 2021 graduate of Lamoni High School, Cray is also a volunteer with the Lamoni Fire Department and a very busy Criminal Justice major at Graceland University.  The 313th class of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy at Camp Dodge began in January and graduated April 19th. Community Center Gets New Flooring

The renovation of the Lamoni Recreational Trail nears completion as earth movers work to level off and fill in sections of the east trail in preparation to pour concrete. 11th Annual Bethany's Race

The 11th annual Bethany's Race was held on May 6th. 49 participants turned out in spite of the rain and hail that came about an hour before the race. Bethany Gruich was a beloved member of the community who was diagnosed with glioblastoma (a rare brain cancer) in October of 2012, just shy of her 16th birthday. Tanya McLain is the Manager of the recently opened Family Dollar / Dollar Tree located at 217 East Main in downtown Lamoni. McLain is from Kellerton, where she's lived most of her life.
